Spring Cleaning!

This morning mom woke us up and informed us today is the day to do spring cleaning!
Of course a few of my siblings tried to hide and get out of it but eventually everyone pitched in other than my oldest brother (moved out) and one of my sisters of whom is in Florida on a band trip.
Of course I made sure I got first dibs on cleaning the blue room/our family room. I consider it one of the easier rooms to clean. After I finished I sat down for a bit.

After a bit some of my little sibling came in and I went to tell them to bug off so they wouldn't dirty the room again and well they won. Due to 1. mom told them to use the room and 2. two of my cousin happen to be spending the day with us.

I should probably be more aware of what's happening, haha! Because in this house you never know when you're going to look up and find your cousins.

Everyone else was playing with Legos and this little one preferred her favorite toys instead.

Someone was peeking in.

Found her again!

Our basement is the home of our coats and shoes.
Midget was put in charge of cleaning them up today.

One of our two dogs, Lucky is my personal favorite of the two.
He is going on 10 years if I remember correctly.

The annoying brother messing outside!

He's collecting wood/sticks for his small sap boiler.

I decided to help clean yard (somewhere I can go with work and out of moms hair). I mainly used the pink bucket to pick up garbage. I dumped it more than 10 times!!!!

Older sister called me over to help her but we're weak (mainly me).

We were trying to push the bail off her truck for her horses.

She went and got someone else to help her.

I started collecting sticks maybe I'll have a bonfire some time.
I was going to be done after I took this picture, but continued.

I think we have plenty for a small fire!!  !)

Musical and Family Life

I rarely wear makeup but here is a picture I took before my final show with all my stage makeup and my hair done so lovely. Our help for hair are volunteer mothers of whom always do such wonderful jobs!

The cast and crew after our first show!

A beautiful rose and fern from my mother gave me after my final performance. I don't have any vases so my mug had to make due. :)

A sunset I got a picture of one Monday night.

Older sister turned 19 still hasn't moved out. Haha! She keeps telling me she will but doesn't. here is here gift from our mother's parents. I didn't get to see what is inside.

It's always hard to get my siblings to get their jobs done around here!

Bambino and Batman (my nicknames for my two youngest brothers) were playing. They didn't noticed me taking a picture otherwise they would have dramatized it!

My mom is sewing decorations for our parish to be hung out in ordinary time.

She has had me help a few times now. It's nice to see here sewing even though she doesn't do it often.

I just love this material the green and gold are really eye catching!

Keep it up mom!

March 2018

Last summer we had a change of priest. I never thought we would get one that made maple syrup.

All the maple trees around our parish this spring have been tapped. And my little brother a big enthusiast about it, spent a day last week helping him boil some of it down.

I went skiing at Cascade with an amazing man, a few of his siblings and a homeschooler group.

Thankfully I'm just good enough to be able to stop on the ski slope catch a few pictures before it's back to the race. !)

Frassati Feast February 2-4 2018

I was able to go to the 2018 Fras sati Feast that is held at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells this year. I made it very clear to everyone of how impressed I am with this towel folded into the shape of an elephant!

I don't know why but this stairway in between the room we stayed in and the convention center really impressed me as well. (I am weird that way.)

Over by our rooms they have this lovely sitting area and I couldn't help but take a couple of pictures.

My sisters, the lovely lady who chaperoned us and myself are really terrible with taking group picture/selfies! We had taken these upon arrival, hence the bags in the background.

The slogan "pursuit"

Through out the weekend I never left the building so as I walked from my room to the convention center Saturday morning I remembered yes it's still early February in Wisconsin!

The way they folded the napkins for dinner we had on Saturday!!

Couldn't help capturing this wonderful centerpiece! All though we had a few pyromaniacs in our group and yes they did play with the candles!!!! Let's say the sugar packets didn't stand a chance and neither did someone's glass of tea they put the packets out in!

Found this Saturday morning when I went to make my sleepy head sisters some coffee!! Thankfully I was able to fix it, otherwise I would have had a problem.

This light shade in the hallway by the convention center inspired on of my sister's to tell one of my other sisters "Oh hey that's really bugging me out!" And yes I did a face palm as soon as it escaped her lips.

I had so much fun that weekend I didn't have much time to take a lot of pictures. But is was a boat load of fun!!
