Crafting Christmas Gifts
I stopped at Walmart and Dollar Tree to pick up a few craft supplies.
I found I enjoy letting the super thick candy cane sticks melt into a cup of hot chocolate.
So I enjoyed a few while I crafted. 😊
I sprayed these letters with a red paint.
It was more of a finish than a paint.
I used blackboard paint and a white pen to do some detail.
I sprayed a clear finish over to ensure the chalk edges wouldn't smudge.
I found small sticks and twigs under our maple tree and hot glued this H.
When I make these gifts for a certain person, I always have them on my mind.
Sometimes I feel like its a silent way to say a prayer for them.
This one here I made for Samwise's mother.
This one's for my dad's mother.
My mom's mother.
Here are three of them finished.
I had these all wrapped before I started on the rest.
I made my mother's while she was out of town for the evening. 😁
This one here I made for my Godparents.
When my uncle opened it he asked if the W stood for Wow.
Haha!
I even got Samwise to help with one!
He doesn't like pictures.
This last one was for his mother as well.
A close up of the one for my grandma W.
And the one for my grandma K.
I always find it fascinating how you can go from almost nothing,
to something half decent.
Probably one of the main reasons I love art.
One project I worked on the week before and a few weeks after Christmas,
were these crotchet stockings.
I crotchet the main body of all three stockings.
The name tags were all cross-stitch.
Each stocking has an inside liner made from fabric.
Each had a slightly different theme to them.
