I've learned if you want nice pictures, you have to wake up before everyone else.
I went back to sleep afterwards, but I was able to get my pictures!
When I got back up there was a few already awake doing their favorite thing.
Sorting the gifts into piles.
We're allowed to dig into our stockings right away.
Dad and mom likes to watch us open gifts.
Dad needs his breakfast first.
(That includes coffee)
Beth opening my gift to her.
Counting his candy it looks like.
Waiting their turn.
Quigley is NOT a morning person.
Achoo!
Ah just what she wanted,
tissue.
Mom's turn opening the gifts from me.
Beth adores the snow globe I gifted her.
Although after the 2nd time she pressed the button on it my mom stated,
"I'm starting to reconsider Eve's love for us."
I think she's happy with her new potholders and a matching towel.
Dad's turn.
I opened up after.
I couldn't stay and watch the rest of my family open their gifts.
I went to Samwise's family's place.
Surprisingly this is the only photo I took there.
His sister Eowyn babysits for a family and needed to get rid of some kitchen items.
Samwise and I went through them in picked quit a few out.
Next stop was my Mother's parents.
Here is the table for my grandparents, aunts and uncles.
My grandma always sets things up so beautiful.
'Tis the season,
'Tis the Reason.
An old picture of my family.
I am among the group of little pink girls.
This photo was taken in 2007 for my grandparents anniversary.
Lots of gifts.
My grandparents give every one of their grandchildren one gift.
It still is a lot!
Their "small" tree.
A Christmas sunset.
Ready for gift opening.
Samwise thought he was funny.
The teen boys were in charge of handing gifts out.
Tommy is consulting grandma about a gift.
My grandma does the best ribbon and bow designs.
One day I might be half as good!
Samwise gifted a rifle to me.
Samwise's mother found this photo and frame.
I am super excited to hang this up.
This is one of my personal favorite prayers.
My Queen, my Mother,
I give myself entirely to you,
and to show my devotion to you,
I consecrate to you this day
my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart,
my entire self without reserve.
As I am your own, my good Mother,
guard me and defend me
as your property and possession.
Amen.
A few items that were in my stocking at Samwise's.
I love how this doll has Blonde hair and green eyes like I do.
Usually they show blondes as blue eyed.
I defiantly can picture myself as this doll.
A crucifix Samwise's mother gifted to us.
Eowyn gifted us a nativity scene as well.
My Godparents gave me a slow cooker this year.
Going from not thinking of needing stuff to having a few items is a great feeling.
My grandmother went to her Godson/nephew's wedding in Spain.
She gifted most of her granddaughters these shawls.
She informed me when she got them she imagined I would wear it for m wedding.
Her hope was dashed when I picked sunflowers as my theme.
One of my personal favorite gifts.
A brooch I can use to pin a small scarf around my neck.
I don't know which one but I received this from one of Samwise's sisters.
Turns out my mother made this one for me.
She must have been laughing to herself when I kept complementing her on putting the nativity scene on it.
Knowing I was the one she was making it for.
My family instead of gifting everyone a gift we do a gift exchange we call KK (Kris Kringle)
Where on Thanksgiving we draw names.
Whoever's name you pull out you have to be nice to till Christmas as well as give them a gift.
I made a few wall ordainment as gifts.
Which after opening the gift from my KK I found it ironic I received one.
Greta got me as her KK.
She didn't know I made a few so she was apparently regretting making my gift.
After seeing the few I gave out opened.
But I love it.
Greta doesn't have much time with her work schedule.
Knowing this makes her gift very important.
One of the cute parts on the backside she wrote,
"Establishing Sep 5th, 2020"
A painted plate from "The Sound of Music".
Another great stocking stuffer I received at Samwise's.
I did the gift exchange at work,
I got this awesome blanket and more gel pens.
So Vidalia wondered if she asked for wrapping paper if my grandma would wrap it or not.
So of course she had to see.
Grandma just put ribbon around them.😂
